Shiloh, the 18-year-old daughter of American actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, recently officially dropped her father’s surname.
Insiders told the Daily Mail how the movie star reacted to such an act of hers and with which of the six offspring she hopes to build a relationship one day.
According to the newspaper’s interlocutors, 60-year-old Brad has already come to terms with the fact that his daughter does not want to bear his last name.
“He knew it was going to happen and he wasn’t going to do anything about it now,” one of the sources said.
“It’s sad, but Brad’s strained relationship with his and Angelina’s children is the way he lives now,” the insider added.
Pitt can only keep the door open for his children.
“He respects Shiloh’s decision. “He loves her and no matter what happens, he is always a phone call away,” the insider assured.
“He will be there for Shiloh and all the children when they need him, no questions asked. But the next step should be up to them,” he added.
Brad feels in his heart that the smoke will clear, even if it takes years, and Shiloh will let him and the twins Vivienne and Knox back into her life. But when it comes to the three adopted children Maddox, Pax and Zahara, he has no such confidence.
“But Brad sincerely believes that when the divorce process is over and the courts are way behind schedule, Shiloh, as well as Vivienne and Knox, will take a good look in the mirror and realize that their father is a part of them,” the source explained.
