Insider: SpaceX bought off Elon Musk misconduct allegations | Financial

The incident took place in 2016 aboard one of SpaceX’s corporate jets. At the time, the woman was employed by the company as a flight attendant. According to Insider sources, she ignored her boss’s behavior. Two years later, feeling that this had diminished her career prospects at SpaceX, she filed an official complaint against Musk. SpaceX then offered to buy off her employment contract for $250,000, on the condition that she would not reveal anything about what had happened. Insider writes that without the woman’s knowledge, she was approached by a friend of hers, who also shared the documents.

Musk: “Wild accusations completely untrue”

SpaceX declined to comment on the allegations to Insider. The Tesla CEO tweeted that the “wild allegations are completely false” and that there is “a lot more to the story.” That it is now coming out is, according to him, “politically motivated.” The businessman is currently negotiating with Twitter about a takeover of the messaging platform.

In other tweets, Musk states that the girlfriend of the bought woman is a liar and that it will be a “challenge” to describe things typical of Musk, such as tattoos and scars, “because it never happened.” According to Musk, the allegations come from a Los Angeles actress who “still has a solid political bone to pick” and whose “sole purpose” is to “disrupt the Twitter deal.”

In recent years, complaints have been regularly made about sexually transgressive behavior at Musk companies. Musk himself, however, was never mentioned in it.
