On The Xbox Two podcast, well-known insider and journalist Jez Corden shared interesting information about the new part of the famous series of space role-playing games Mass Effect.
What is known
Jez Corden has learned that the BioWare studio has abandoned the structure of a large open world and, when developing a new game, is focusing on the concept of the original trilogy about Commander Shepard.
This decision is likely due to justified criticism of Mass Effect: Andromeda, which was released in 2017 and offered players to travel through several large-scale, but empty and uninteresting locations, which is why the gameplay of the game was boring and monotonous.
It is worth noting that another BioWare game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, released in 2014, faced the same problem. Therefore, the decision to abandon the large open world in Mass Effect 5 (conventional title) may work in favor of the quality of the game.
Almost nothing is known about the game itself; most likely, the developers will share new details of Mass Effect 5 on November 7 – N7 Day, when the traditional holiday of Mass Effect fans takes place.
