Crete is an island with many faces. Most tourists stay on the northern half, where the airports of Heraklion and Chania are located, as well as the most famous city of Rethymnon. The southern side is quieter and more unspoilt with numerous coves and hiking trails where mainly locals come. It is there, in Plakias, where the daughter of singer Paul Michiels has lived for years with her Greek husband and runs a restaurant. Annick and Kris also lost their hearts there.
