Inside the Cancellation of The Last of Us Multiplayer: Over 300 Devs Impacted and Major Executives Fired

We now know that over 300 people worked on The Last of Us Multiplayer for four years before it was unfortunately cancelled. We know that it was supposed to be a big, ambitious and, of course, very expensive multiplayer game with “Factions” and Battle Royale in the middle. We also now know through Jason Schreier (Bloomberg) that executives were moving to Sony after a decision that development was dragging on and costs out of control.

He talked about this recently in an episode of the podcast Friends every secondwhere he announced that things got “bloody” at Sony and that two executives were fired at the same time, which is completely fair when projects like this come over.

Would you like to have played The Last of Us Multiplayer?
