High degree of automation, enormously efficient: In 2015, 330 employees worked for Leisi in Wangen near Olten, today there are still 220.
The rules are strict: no jewellery, steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets. Then, before entering the production area, hair and dust are removed from the shoulders with a roller, hands are washed and disinfected before we enter behind Rolf Widmer. He has been with Leisi for 20 years and has been production manager for 12 years. So that I can take notes at all during the factory tour, he put a special pen in my hands beforehand.
