The pre-holiday season this year may be marked by the coronavirus pandemic. Closed shopping centers and the desire to keep social distance will probably increase the number of people shopping online.

InPost launches Weekend Shipments

To meet the growing number of parcels posted, InPost announced the launch of the Weekend Mailings service. The service is addressed to entrepreneurs (sellers) who have an account in Parcel Manager or WebTrucker – he explains on his InPost website.

If the seller uses Weekend Shipment, InPost couriers will pick up the package on Saturdays from 8am to 4pm and Sundays from 8am to 1pm, thanks to which her journey will start earlier. Importantly, on Saturday or Sunday, couriers will only pick up parcels for which the sellers have completed the shipping forms by Saturday by 1pm. Otherwise, the parcel will not be able to leave until Monday.

The action started last Saturday (November 7), but it will be limited in time. The service will only be available until December 20, 2020. It is supposed to allow more efficient delivery of Christmas gifts to customers. Especially that another shopping opportunity is approaching fast – Black Friday (November 27).
