INP Calls for Local Team Independence and Blank Voting in Municipal Elections

– We are going to recommend all our local teams that come into position, so that they have to choose one side or the other, then we ask that they vote blankly and not join any coalition, says Owe Ingemann Waltherzøe, to Telemark newspaper.

Rushing forward on the measurements

Waltherzøe and the Industrial and Business Party (INP) have had wind in their sails recently. As the municipal elections are fast approaching, INp has been climbing and climbing in the polls. In many of the latest measurements, INp is likely to get above the blocking limit.

In InFact’s latest party survey conducted on behalf of Nettavisen, INp gets 3.8, which makes them bigger than, for example, the Green Party (MDG) – which was at 3.6.

– Recently, the measurements have pointed in one direction, and that is upwards. Straight towards the barrier border, a delighted Waltherzøe told Nettavisen at the time.

Joint message to representatives

For the new party (started in 2020), the upswing in popularity has led to them now taking action – to avoid rookie mistakes if the party were to make good choices around Norway’s municipalities.

– There are many of our shop stewards who have not been part of a municipal council before and need to learn. We have to be there, see and experience who can be trusted or not. Vote on a case-by-case basis. We don’t want to make too many mistakes because we are new, says Waltherzøe FACING.

The party leader tells the newspaper that it will be important for those who are elected to various municipal councils for the party to vote down all proposals related to wind power and vote for proposals to remove or reduce property tax.
