The first generation of shrimp of the species “Litopenaeus vannamei” on the Anklam shrimp farm has reached its catch weight and is now being sold.
Anklam
Fraktal GmbH plans to produce around 15 tons of shrimp per year in Anklam. According to an NDR report, production has now started and the first, albeit small, quantities of goods are already leaving the aquaculture farm in the Anklam industrial park on Max-Planck-Strasse. On the company’s own homepage, a factory sale of the first generation of shrimp that have reached the catch weight is currently being advertised on site.
Technology is eco-friendly and antibiotic-free
Rearing takes place in a BioFloc aquaculture facility. An innovative technology that stands for a very environmentally friendly and antibiotic-free rearing method. Almost three years ago, the Western Pomeranian Economic Development Agency announced that the company would be located in Peenestadt. Around 800,000 euros should flow into the project of Fraktal GmbH. The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania secured funding of 395,000 euros from state funds and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
