On Friday, October 20, the awards ceremony for the annual Centrale Lyon Innovation Camp 2023 (CLIC) challenge was held, an educational event that highlights the creativity and ingenuity of Centrale Lyon students.
For a week, the engineering students worked in project mode to propose innovative and responsible solutions to the 6 projects proposed by the Metropolis of Lyonpartner of this edition.
[COUP DE CŒUR DU JURY] Reinventing urban swimming with “Fourvière on Slide”
The “Fourvière on Slide” group brilliantly took up the challenge with the proposal for the development of 4 slides for the descent of the Sarra at Fourvière. Their goal was to find a way to cool city dwellers during scorching days. With their ingenuity, they came up with several innovative ideas to provide a refreshing experience to users.
This audacious project was able to captivate everyone’s imagination and received the favorite prize of the public and the jury.
Reestablish social ties with “entertainment”
The “entertainment’banc” team captivated the audience with their original staged presentation. Their project brought together all generations around the same place, the bench. They have created an interactive relaxation space where people of all ages can be entertained and interact with games and fun activities. Their innovative approach captured the hearts of the public and was praised for its inclusive aspect.
Making fast fashion undesirable with “chabstyle”
The students carrying out the “chabstyle” project presented a unique application which allows you to share photos of your clothes every day with your friends on a Lyon social network. But that’s not all ! Each publication generates points which transform into discount vouchers to be used in eco-responsible partner stores and clothing repairs. Their concept of “shared dressing room” encourages sustainability and environmental responsibility in fashion. An initiative that won over the jury and the public.
A second life for movie sets with “the enVERT of the set”
The “enVERT du décor” group presented an exciting project which consists of give a second life to film sets. Their innovative idea consists of reusing these decors to create new creative and ecological spaces. By recycling and reusing materials, they help reduce waste and preserve the environment. Their project was praised for its creativity and commitment to sustainability.
Promote industrial careers among young people with “USINOPOLIS”
One of the teams worked on a project aimed at improve the attractiveness of industrial professions to young people. Their idea was to create a place, called USINOPOLIS, which brings together different technologies and experiences through an immersive virtual tour. Thanks to this initiative, young people will be able to discover industrial professions in an interactive and fun way, thus arousing their interest and curiosity. The group has demonstrated great creativity by proposing a modern and innovative approach to promote professions in the industry.
