Huawei brings the latest addition to its portfolio of wireless headphones – FreeBuds 5. The new product boasts not only a rather bold design, but also high-quality sound and a decent battery life.
Like the previous Huawei FreeBuds 4, the fifth generation also does not have silicone tips. FreeBuds 5 support codecs L2HC a LDAC and offer surround sound (HarmonyOS 3 devices only), active noise cancellation (ANC) and dynamic equalizer tuning. They then take care of the sound side 11mm dual magnetic drivers.
The headphones are paired via Bluetooth 5.2 with support for multi-point pairing and, of course, there is also touch control. The battery of the headphones lasts up to 5 hours of listening and the total battery life with the case reaches up to 30 hours. The case supports both wired charging via USB-C and wireless charging. IP54 resistance is definitely worth mentioning, which protects the headphones from dust and splashing water. The FreeBuds 5 are available in silver, white and orange versions and are priced in China at 899 CNY, i.e. about 2,800 crowns in conversion.
