Innovative Electric Cars by Daihatsu: Minimalist Design and Japanese Creativity

– Advertising –

It probably won’t make it to production, especially with its simple and minimalist interior, but at least it gives us an idea of what another could be like in the car deportivo but with electrical power.

Minimalism and Japanese creativity

If the Osampo is the cheerful and eye-catching car of this line of concepts, the Daihatsu me:MO is a city car with a complicated name, which makes it perfect for Japan. It is also electric and looks like a serious competitor to the Citroën Ami, another tiny electric car with simple finishes that works as urban transport from point A to B. The curious thing is that Daihatsu makes the most of the me:MO’s space, managing to accommodate three or four occupants in its small cabin.

Alongside the me:MO, Daihatsu’s Uniform Truck and Cargo concepts would fit well in a futuristic film or anime set in future Japan. These two are also in cars with electric power perfect for small businesses. What’s more, its batteries are capable of powering appliances, ideal for a mobile store that requires an electronic device.

These four cars are quite curious and demonstrate Japan’s ability to make the most of a small space. We may not see them in the near future, but Daihatsu will surely use them as inspiration for some future project.
