“Innovate Egypt Launches First Egyptian Electric-Powered Car: Cargo Version for Goods Transportation”

Mohamed El-Ghamry, founder of Innovate Egypt, revealed the launch of the first Egyptian electric-powered car, the “Cargo” version, for transporting goods with four wheels as an alternative to the “tricycle”, within a month.

Innovate Egypt had revealed an electric car designed and manufactured entirely in Egypt, specifically to serve the cleaning work in Sharm El-Sheikh, after its transformation into a completely green city.

During this report, we review the detailed specifications of the car, according to exclusive statements to Masrai from Mohamed Al-Ghamry, founder of Innovate Egypt:

The car relies on a 4-kilowatt electric motor, equivalent to 5.3 horsepower, with a maximum speed of 55 km/h.

The motor is connected to 6 kWh lithium-ion batteries, with a range of 60 to 80 km on a single charge, and the batteries can be doubled optionally.

The car is 2,900 mm long, 1,580 mm wide and weighs 610 kg with battery, while the box measures 1,150 mm long, 1,250 mm wide and 230 mm high.

An automatic lifter can be added to the car trunk, in addition to an automatic lifter for the garbage bin with a maximum weight of 240 liters.

Innovate is currently working on setting the price of the car to the public – according to Al-Ghamry, and it is expected to range from 95 to 150 thousand pounds, thus the car will be approximately 30% cheaper compared to its competitors.
