The Toyota Innova Hybrid was launched today. The Innova Hybrid will be the first Toyota hybrid car to be produced in Indonesia. The Innova Hybrid is the work of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) at its Karawang I plant. At the factory, the Innova Hybrid will be produced together with the Toyota Fortuner.
Ahead of this afternoon’s launch, Toyota leaked multiple times about the latest car. Firstly, when you upload a photo of the side of the body with the “hybrid” emblem, you are further emphasizing that the new car is equipped with hybrid technology.
The second leak that was uploaded was a panoramic photo of the car’s sunroof. You can also see the ambient light around the sunroof and the air conditioning grilles located on the roof to the left and right of the car. In the same photo there is also a dashcam positioned to the right of the rear view mirror.
The Innova hybrid reportedly brought electric captain’s seats to the second row. So in the highest type, the Innova hybrid will also be offered the Modelista bodykit with 18-inch wheels.
Beyond that, there are several parties claiming that this hybrid Innova will transition to using a front-wheel drive or front-wheel drive (FWD) system. If the assumption is correct, it means that Innova is moving away from the rear-wheel drive system that has been around for decades.
There will be five color choices for this latest Innova, starting with White Pearl, Black, Dark Steel, Grey, to Silver. So for the type, the Innova will be available in different options, namely G AT Petrol, G AT Hybrid, V AT Petrol, V AT Hybrid, and the most expensive is the Q Hybrid type.
The presence of this Innova hybrid will displace the diesel version of the Innova. In the Innova hybrid types list obtained by detik.com from a Toyota salesman, it can be seen that there are only gasoline and hybrid types.
