The game was released last May on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and later replenished the library Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and PC. Events unfold in medieval France, where the main characters Amicius and Hugo flee from the Inquisition, the plague and hordes of rats.

Late last year, media reported that Asobo Studio is working on a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. According to rumors, Focus Home Interactive will again be the publisher of the project, but no announcement has yet been received.-
