The Bekasi Regent was forced to be treated at the Siloam Tangerang ICU because he had comorbidities
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEKASI — Bekasi Regent, Eka Supria Atmaja, passed away on Sunday (11/7). He died after undergoing intensive treatment at Siloam Hospital, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang.
Head of the Sub-Division of Leadership Communications, Protocol and Communication Section, Bekasi Regency Secretary, Ramdhan Nurul Ikhsan, said Eka died at 21.30 WIB.
“Innalillahi wa innailahi rojiun has passed away to Rahmatullah H. Eka Supria Atmaja, the Regent of Bekasi, today, July 11, 2021, at 21.30 WIB,” said Ramdhan, to reporters, Sunday (11/7).
Eka’s polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results were found to be positive last Thursday (1/7). Head of the Bekasi District Health Office, Sri Enny Mainarti, said that Eka had comorbidities. On Sunday, July 4, 2021 morning, he had time to get ICU treatment at Siloam Hospital.
Eka is a Golkar Party politician who served as Bekasi Regent for the 2019-2022 period. The 48-year-old man became the number one person in Bekasi Regency when he replaced Neneng Hasanah Yasin who was involved in the Meikarta licensing bribery case. Eka previously served as Deputy Regent of Bekasi.
