In the Valmiera region, in the park of Valmiermuiža Palace, the music festival “Ink” will take place on August 12 this year, where the main artists will be the domestic hip-hop star Gustavo and the Eurovision winners from Ukraine – “Kalush Orchestra”

As the organizers of the festival from Valmiera music club “Tinte” remind “Delfi”, the main artists of this year’s festival “Kalush Orchestra” are one of the most recognized hip-hop groups in Ukraine. It gained international recognition on May 14, 2022, winning Eurovision and allowing Ukraine to triumph in the popular contest for the third time. Earlier this year, the band toured the US, including a performance at the prestigious SXSW festival in Austin.
The group actively continues to support the Ukrainian army by donating funds from the souvenirs sold during the concerts. Also at the concert in Latvia, a sales point will be available where you can buy items with the “Kalush Orchestra” symbol, according to the organizers.
Last year, the hip-hop artist Gustavo, who was known for several years under the stage name Arstarulsmirus, returned to Latvian popular music with the big concert “Finally”, but now he has returned to his better-known pseudonym. At the festival, Gustavo will perform songs from this year’s released studio album “Tagad tika saksi” as well as other well-known hits.
Participation in the festival has been confirmed by roland če, the project KRATA, which includes DJ Dubra, Edavārdi and Čižiks, Zeļgis and producer Mickeen, She, the group “Age of Stones”, rapper Deniss, as well as DJs: Toms Grēviņš, Egon Reiters, Magnus Eriņš, All- everything, Funky DJ Elegant and other surprises to come.
The organizers of the “Tinte” festival say that they are also preparing a special installation for the main stage to ensure good visibility and high-quality musical enjoyment for the event’s visitors. Parallel to the big stage, there will be a DJ tent, a catering block and a rest area.
The festival is organized by the Valmiera bar “Tinte”. The last time the “Ink” festival was held in the summer of 2019, gathering 5,000 visitors.
