Bundesliga soccer team RB Leipzig will once again have to do without its offensive star Dani Olmo for weeks. In the 6-0 win over 1. FC Cologne on Saturday, the Spaniard suffered a sprained shoulder joint, as the Leipzig team announced on Sunday evening after examinations. A fracture of the left shoulder can be ruled out, but Olmo will still be out for several weeks. The Leipzig team did not provide an exact downtime.

Olmo, who had just been substituted in the 63rd minute, was taken off his feet a little later on Saturday by Cologne’s Luca Kilian and left the pitch again in the 70th minute with his face contorted in pain. The 25-year-old had just returned to the team after a long break due to a sprained knee. “It’s really hard for me to bear, and for the boy too,” said coach Marco Rose immediately after the game on Saturday evening. “I’m happy for the boys and super sad for Dani.”
