Dynamo Kyiv defender 18-year-old Nazar Balaba will not help the Ukrainian national team born in 2005 during the Euro 2025 (U-19) qualification in Malta.

Balaba was injured in the last match of the Ukrainian youth championship against Krivbass U-19 and, accordingly, will not be able to help the Ukrainian national team in the first round of qualification. Instead, German legionnaire Ivan Ermachkov from the Wuppertal club, which plays in the youth Bundesliga, was called to the youth team camp.
Tentatively, the Dynamo defender will miss a week and has a chance to play in the youth championship match against Rukh on October 25.
In the first qualifying match for Euro 2025 (U-19), Oleg Kuznetsov’s team beat Malta – 3:1. Also in the group are teams from Slovakia and Kosovo. The two best teams will advance to the elite round.
