The tornado passed through densely populated suburbs of the American city of Chicago. More than 100 houses were damaged, some were injured, and the power supply was cut off in some places, the Associated Press reported.
Five people were hospitalized in Napierville, where 16 houses were declared uninhabitable and dozens were seriously injured, a city government spokeswoman said.
