Injured for life in brutal attack:

The victim’s assistance lawyer, Jon Anders Hasle, informs TV 2.

– He is marked for life after having been through an absolutely terrible experience. In the worst case, this will hamper him in the foreseeable future, says Hasle.

It was late in the evening on August 29 last year that a man was attacked at Haugenstua in Oslo. The public prosecutor has now charged four men, a teenager and three in their early 20s, with attempted murder.

The police believe that the four had two machetes with them and that they were partially masked when they attacked the victim without cause. A stab with a machete hit the man so that the flexor tendons of the little, ring and middle fingers were cut across.

When the victim tried to run from the scene, he was cut down from behind so that he broke two ribs. Lying on the ground, he was beaten several times, including in the groin, back of the head and in the lower leg.

– Innocent victim

According to the indictment, the injuries resulted in extensive bleeding that would have been life-threatening if he had not quickly received life-saving treatment and a supply of blood.

– He had not done anything, and he is an innocent victim, says aid lawyer Hasle.

The case comes up in Oslo District Court on February 1 and will last for three weeks.

– How does he view having to explain himself in court?

– He is having a hard time, but is prepared to implement this.

Denies any involvement

According to what TV 2 understands, over time there must have been a conflict between a person who has a relationship with the victim of the violence and the accused, but the offended party must not have been a part of this.

State Attorney Irlin Irgens does not want to comment on what the prosecution believes is the cause of the incident.

The four defendants are represented by Kim Gerdts, Morten Furuholmen, Håkon Marius Svendsen and Farid Bouras, respectively.

TV 2 has not succeeded in getting a comment from Bouras, while Svendsen does not want to comment on the case.

Gerdts and Furuholmen state that you clients deny criminal guilt and say that your clients deny any involvement in the act.
