Eden Hazard worried that his hamstring injury will hinder his career Euro 2020 ends faster. Whatever the situation, Hazard will stay with the team.
Eden Hazard appeared as a starter when Belgium face Portugal in the round of 16 of Euro 2020 at the La Cartuja Stadium, Seville, Monday (28/6/2021) early morning WIB. However, the Real Madrid player was unable to finish the match due to injury.
Hazard is suspected of having suffered a hamstring injury and was withdrawn in the 87th minute. He was seen limping off the pitch to be replaced by Yannick Carrasco.
After the match, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez said that Eden Hazard’s condition would still be monitored. Hazard will undergo examination first.
Meanwhile, Eden Hazard worried about the injury he had this time. However, the former Chelsea player promised to stay with the team at Euro 2020.
“I hurt myself, I felt something in the hamstring,” Hazard said AS.
“I think I experienced something, we’ll see tomorrow. We will analyze the injury, then we will see how bad it is.”
“As captain, I will be with the team because I have an important role,” Hazard said.
Eden Hazard was not the only player injured in the match against Portugal. Kevin De Bruyne also had to end the game early due to an ankle problem after being tackled by Joao Palhinha late in the first half.
