In the Swedish city of Gothenburg, 25 people have been taken to hospital after an explosion in an apartment building. Three of them are believed to be in serious condition. It is unclear what exactly happened.
Emergency services are on site to evacuate residents from the property. Fire has broken out in three stairwells and is being extinguished. Police have launched an investigation but have not arrested any suspects yet.
Swedish broadcaster SVT reports that the explosion happened around 5 a.m. in a district on the south side of the city. Significant smoke development can still be seen in the building. The area around the low-rise building has been cordoned off.
