Munich (sskm). As part of its 200th birthday, the Stadtsparkasse München is offering seminars for interested citizens on various topics related to money. The third seminar, on November 6, 2024, is about “inheritance and legacy” and will be held in the administrative center of the Stadtsparkasse München in northern Schwabing. Spokesman and attorney Walter Hylek: “Inheritance and inheritance fundamentally affect everyone. And yet, few prepare for the worst-case scenario and are often overwhelmed when the time comes. It doesn’t have to be this way.”
The seminar will cover, among other things, the following topics:
- The legal succession
- Community of heirs and the dangers
- The impact of the matrimonial property system on inheritance law and inheritance tax
- The different types of arrangements on death (will and estate contract)
- Legal status of heirs and legatees
- Consideration of compulsory distribution rights as part of estate planning
- The effect of mutual consent
- The inheritance tax
- Expected success through real estate asset transfer

Anniversary year of the Stadtsparkasse Munich
The “Financial Health” campaign is the third and last of the major advertising measures in the anniversary year of 2024. The first campaign focused on the theme of “common good”. The second was a workers’ campaign. This year, on the occasion of its 200th anniversary, the Stadtsparkasse München will spend a total of 13.5 million euros for the common good in Munich. The institute established a sustainability foundation in January with an endowment capital of 10 million euros. Around 3.5 million euros have been earmarked for financing projects.
