FC Barcelona won their match against Athletic Bilbao with one of the best performances of the era, Ronald Koeman, and took third place in the Primera Division. Man of the evening was double packer Lionel Messi.

At the Basques, the Catalans fell behind early due to Inaki Williams (3rd), but then Ronald Koeman’s team turned it up.
After work by Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong, Pedri equalized (14th). Messi put his team in the lead after a one-two before half-time (38th). Particularly worth seeing: the preliminary work by Pedri. The only 18-year-old super talent put on the hit with the sole.
Barça were also happy to play in the second round. After an excellent pass from Antoine Griezmann, Messi increased to 3-1 with his second goal of the evening (62nd).

Goalscorers list: Lionel Messi draws level with Suarez
The six-time world footballer now has nine goals this season in LaLiga. Together with his buddy and ex-teammate Luis Suarez from Atletico Madrid, he leads the scorers list.
Messi could easily have continued to fill his goal account if the post and the crossbar had not stood in the way twice. Shortly before the end of the game, La Pulga made a bad pass, which led to the connection goal by Iker Munian (90th). The Barça victory was no longer in danger.
