In July, Ingebrigtsen was fired after a miserable start to the season. For almost four months, he has refused to comment on the period in Brann, but on Tuesday night he himself removed the muzzle.
– I feel cheated by Brann
In a pub, Ingebrigtsen answered questions from former TV 2 journalist Davy Wathne. Also present Bergensavisen to report from the session.
– I feel cheated by Brann, the Trøndelag resident said along the way.
The statement fell when a point was made that the club strengthened the stable after his departure. Several of the players, including Sivert Heltne Nilsen and Fredrik Pallesen Knudsen, had been on the 55-year-old’s wish list.
– They have obviously found some funds anyway, he added.
– There were too many who had their own agenda
Ingebrigtsen did not hold back in his characteristics of both the management and the player group. Rosenborg’s former gold coach thought he greatly overestimated the Brann squad.
– There were too many who had their own agenda, set good salaries and were actually quite comfortable. I have not been to similar player groups before.
Brann took seven points in this year’s first 14 games in the Elite Series. Since then, the team has added 14 points in twelve matches with Eirik Horneland as boss. It currently holds a qualifying spot, and it seems to be the best the red shirts can hope for in the race to avoid relegation.
Ingebrigtsen recently took on a new football job in Bergen. He then stepped in as sports manager in Åsane in the 1st division.
