She started working as a city councilor for the elderly, health and social services in 2005, and in 2017 she became a city councilor for upbringing and knowledge.
– Thorkildsen has been a central part of the red-green city council since the beginning, and has made an enormous effort for children and young people in Oslo, says city council leader Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) in a press release.

The SV profile was city councilor for the elderly, health and social services from 2015 to 2017. Since then, she has been city councilor for upbringing and knowledge.
Here she has been in several storms, not least the dispute with former director of education Astrid Søgnen.
In the Facebook post, Inga Thorkildsen does not write anything more about the reason for the departure.
On the other hand, she writes a lot about what the city council has received for her post. What she calls a bragging list includes free activity school, changes in the Oslo school and early intervention.

It is a very experienced SV politician who takes over the baton.
Sunniva Holmås Eidsvoll (SV) has ten years of experience as an elected representative in Oslo from the city council and city council.

Since 2015, she has been group leader for SV in the city council in Oslo. Holmås Eidsvoll has been the leader of Oslo SV since 2017.
According to communications manager Karin Steenstrup in the city council department for upbringing and knowledge, the city council change is something that has been discussed for a long time and is an internal change in SV.
