The Operational Units and Unipol of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have proposed a total of 65 sanctioning acts for various breaches of current health regulations in the last week.
This figure confirms a significant decrease in the number of minutes, presumably caused by both the end of the curfew and the behavior of citizens in the new situation.
Specifically, it has been perceived a decrease in the number of people who have been penalized for not wearing the mask, as well as the fParties at home that have also dropped and in the celebration of bottles, consisting of only two events of this type during the past weekend.
Analyzing the data, 18 minutes were processed for alcohol consumption on public roads, which represents 27 percent of the total, basically in a meeting of this type held on the Camino del Hierro; and another of similar characteristics, last Sunday night, in which 13 people participated they were in the parking area of the Maritime Park.
For not using the mandatory sanitary mask have been instructed nine minutes, although in some cases, the affected persons refused to do so, which is why sanctions were also lifted for disobedience to the agents of the authority.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Road and Mobility, Evelyn Alonso, considered that this first weekend “With fewer restrictions, we can conclude that the general trend has been to respect the regulations; to the closing hours of establishments; and a significant reduction of parties in homes and bottle practices”.
The mayor also recalled that “Together with this behavior of the general public, also from the City Council we contribute to provide more security with the extraordinary reinforcements of the Local Police personnel that we arranged”, concluded.
Regarding the non-compliance with the regulations that refer to the activity of leisure and restaurant venues, the most striking thing was the police intervention in a bar in the Imeldo Serís street, in which after the allowed hours continued the activity of selling alcohol inside the same. During the week lLocal Police agents also processed 27 administrative records for the possession and / or consumption of narcotic substances.
