In principle, the Mayor addressed the San José community to bring peace of mind, after knowing the 9 positive cases of Covid 19 in the department.
“We want the community to remain calm and know that we are working to make the best decisions to take care of everyone’s health,” he said.
The Mayor was in contact with authorities of the Ministry of Health of the province, analyzing whether the health agents and members of Primary Health Care of the municipality could carry out controls, as well as the possibility of having a control in the town of La Puntilla, Without neglecting the Punta de Balasto detachment, the possibility of contagion in a spa was also consulted and they responded that as long as the protocols are complied with, they are allowed.
“We want the community to know that hard work is being done and people who have tested positive for Covid 19 are isolated in compliance with regulations, as are close contacts.
We ask the owners or those responsible for organizing events, shops, bars, restaurants and public spaces, “concluded Gómez.
For his part, Commissioner Senatore explained that the cases were known by the antigen test, although the results of the PCR are missing.
Currently, all persons who enter the department are being asked the Negative PCR of 48 hours upon admission, without isolation, otherwise the antigen test is requested.
It is important for the community to bear in mind that Decree 1,578 is in force, which establishes the sanctions for non-compliance with the established measures, such as the use of a mask, social distancing, avoiding crowding of people and the requirements to enter the province.
The General Secretary of the municipality listed some of the most important measures that were taken at the COE meeting.
In the yellow stage, several activities are allowed and Communions and family parties are authorized, provided that the number of people according to the space is respected, if it is outdoors up to 50 and if it is in a closed space up to 20. If it is at night, the celebration is allowed until 2:00 am, but it must be previously reported at the Police Station.
Soccer 11 is not enabled for now, only soccer practice 5 is allowed.
For other disciplines, they must request authorization at the Police Station, presenting a protocol.
In the campsites the allowed capacities must be respected and the protocol must be followed.
Shops will remain open until 10:00 p.m., while bars and the delivery service will be allowed until 00:00 a.m. and on weekends until 2:00 a.m.
The entrance to the department was established from 8:00 to 00:00 hours.
The community is asked to become aware of the situation we are going through and respect the established schedules and protocols, social distancing and the use of a mask.
Councilor Beatriz Flores referred to the positive case in the district.
“In San José we have a positive case for antigen and the results by PCR are awaited, but the person and his close contacts are isolated. Yesterday was an arduous day for the health and safety personnel.
We do not rule out taking stricter measures according to the PCR results. “
URBAN GUARD
The Mayor also referred to the Guardia Urbana staff, who were granted a leave of absence for one month.
“This decision was made because of the exhausting work that they have been doing every day since the pandemic began. We also took into account that in the span of 9 days they lost 2 colleagues and we want them to rest physically and emotionally.”
In any case, reduced personnel of the municipality will be attending the Urban Guard office with the coordination of municipal authorities to respond to the different situations that may arise.
