Infonavit reports change of more than 965 thousand credits to pesos

According to the agency, this conversion represented discounts for workers equivalent to more than $74.600 million pesos.

The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) announced in a statement that from 2019 to January 10, 2023, more than 965 thousand people have carried out the process for the conversion of their credits denominated in Times Minimum Wage (VSM) to Pesos through the “Shared Responsibility” Program.

The agency highlighted that this procedure represented discounts for workers equivalent to more than $74.600 million pesos.

He also highlighted that during December 2022 and until January 10, 2023, a total of 526,582 workers benefited from the restructuring of their credit, which is equivalent to more than $9,700 million pesos in balance discounts.

Infonavit highlighted that the advantages for workers who carry out this process of converting their VSM credits to pesos, is to have a balance and fixed monthly payments, being certain when they will stop paying and forgetting about annual increases.

He added that one of the qualities of this program is that the beneficiaries can switch to a credit model whose interest rate is between 1.9% and 10.45%, depending on their income, he specified.

In this sense, he added that people interested in converting their credit and avoiding future annual adjustments, as of February 9 of this year, will be able to access the program again, since it is permanent.

The conversion is done free of charge from the site micuenta.infonavit.org.mx.

It is necessary to enter the My Credit tab and then click on the Shared Responsibility option.

Workers can also go to the nearest Infonavit Service Center to receive advice on how to carry out this procedure, within the established hours.
