The head of the Infonavit Delegation, Ana Lizeth Gómez, reported that this January 2021 registered 47% more credit applications than in the same month last year, while at the national level, this increase was 14%.
The federal official commented that the National Institute of the Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit), in 2020 more than 23 thousand credits were granted in Baja California, which generated an economic spill of more than 8.6 billion pesos.
This year, in comparison between January 2021 versus January 2020, 14% more at the national level, however, in figures for Baja California, 1,494 credits were delivered at the end of January 31, which represents 47% more , than January 2020.
Ana Lizeth Gómez pointed out that they are very happy with this great start, since only in January, Baja California was ranked fifth in the nation in the placement of credits, so this year will surely continue in the same vein, so they will work harder.
One of the main products with which the 2020 goal was achieved was with Unamos Credits, where two people without a legal or family relationship add up their credits and that gives them greater capacity to access a better home.
The closure in Baja California in 2020 with the aforementioned program, was more than 2,500 credits, and this 2021 will surely have a great demand, coupled with when the Infonavit law reform comes into force, which will be in the month of April.
The goal for this 2021 will be the placement of 23 thousand loans in Baja California, where historically the demand has been placed towards existing housing, since it is regularly better located.
