Given the implementation of the regulatory framework derived from the reforms to its law, recently approved, the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) the new rules for granting credit, which They were recently approved by the body’s board of directors and assembly.
The Infonavit published in the DOF said rules by which the access to financing of the organization is expanded and the range of solutions that the beneficiary can choose to make use of the credit obtained from the institution is opened.
“Access to financing is expanded by defining as credit subjects the holders of deposits constituted in their favor with the institute. The foregoing makes it necessary to establish in these rules general requirements for access to credit that include those persons who, being right holders, do not have a working relationship in force at the time of request ”, the document can read.
According to the document, the beneficiary is empowered so that he can choose between various destinations for the use of his savings in any housing action, for example: acquisition of new or existing housing, expansion or remodeling of his own home, construction and purchase of land to build your house.
“These rules lay the foundations to continue serving the real needs of the eligible population with special emphasis on granting loans for self-production, for the acquisition of land for housing construction, refinancing mortgage loans and the possibility of obtaining successive credits ”, indicates the document published in the DOF.
The State mortgage will have to be proactive in the information to give access to the financing that best suits its beneficiaries.
“The institute will establish the conditions to guarantee the free choice of financing that best suits the interests of the beneficiary worker (…) It will provide clear, true, truthful, transparent, accessible and objective information on the Business Rules of the different financing options to which they can have access ”.
