In addition to helping workers, this program will boost formal businesses and national producers.
For this credit, Infonavit worked with the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur) and with the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin).
Unlike the Green Mortgage, highlighted Carlos Martínez, general director of Infonavit, Equipa tu casa is optional, that is, the borrower can request this credit for the purchase of electrical appliances, floors, coatings; improve water and drainage services, among others; as well as to install lamps, bathroom furniture, air conditioning or incorporate elements that contribute to the reduction of housing expenses and to adapt the facilities to habitability and accessibility for people with disabilities, he explained.
“It is a program that has the win-win characteristic because it definitely benefits all niches of the productive sector and improves the quality of life of all workers,” said Héctor Tejada, president of Concanaco, in his speech.
Another of the benefits of this credit will be for manufacturers of national eco-technology and will boost the consumption of what Made in Mexicoadded José Abugaber, president of Concamin.
How does it work?
The only requirement to access this financing is that workers meet the 1,080 points that Infonavit requests to apply for a mortgage loan.
Equipa tu casa, Carlos Martínez explained, is not an additional amount to the one approved for each worker. To request it, there must be a remainder between the credit limit and what is requested, that is, there must be a surplus of 9,461 pesos, the minimum loan amount.
