Octavio García, delegate of the institute in the state of Chihuahua, assures that the benefits are varied and so far this year in Chihuahua there have been less than 100 workers who have taken advantage of this possibility.
“If you bought the house from someone with a loan from a bank or those loans in UDIS, with a national mortgage for example, and you are paying it right now and it is increasing every January, you can use your Infonavit credit to pay that loan , take advantage of your housing subaccount to enter into the operation, therefore, you will have the lowest monthly payment and it will be fixed and the cheapest rates on the market,” explained the delegate.
The official regretted that despite the benefits of this program, the number of workers who take advantage of this possibility is minimal, admitting that so far this year, less than one hundred people in the state have made this conversion.
“It is important that everyone knows about the possibility because many times they say, I don’t want to buy another house because I owe the one I have, well, you can use your Infonavit credit to pay for the house you are currently using and paying for,” explained the delegate.
The official announced that so far this year Infonavit has granted around 21 thousand loans, however 6 thousand of them are loans for expansion and/or remodeling of homes, the remaining 15 thousand have been granted to buy a new house or existing.
