Infonavit: 120,000 people are missing from changing their Infonavit credits to pesos in Jalisco


Rows of Infonavit beneficiaries were still observed who went to the agency’s offices to change their credit denominated in Times Minimum Wage (VSM) to pesos.

Ramón Gómez, Infonavit delegate in Jalisco, explained that currently 300 accredited people are served per day against the 2,000 people who were served in December.

“We calculate that here in the state tThere are still around 120,000 people to make the change”he explained.

Max Jiménez is another of the people who came to change his credit from Times Minimum Wages to Pesos. “I already made my change, nothing more than now I have to change my email,” he explained.

As of this Thursday, February 9, the accredited of the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) who still have their credit denominated in Times Minimum Wage (VSM) they can convert it to pesos, through the Universal Window of the Shared Responsibility program.

This program is permanent and offers the following benefits: Elimination of annual adjustments linked to the increase in the minimum wage and the Measurement and Update Unit (UMA), fixed interest rates between 1.0% and 10.45%, depending on the monthly income of the borrower, balance and fixed monthly payments during the life of the credit.
The employer’s contribution is paid directly to the principal amount of the debt, if the borrower has a current employment relationship.
