Infographic Shows a 13.5% Surge in Trade Valuation Between Saudi Arabia and Egypt for 2022 – The Seventh Day

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, headed by Major General Khairat Barakat, showed an increase in the value of trade exchange between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, reaching $10.4 billion in 2022, compared to $9.1 billion in 2021, an increase of 13.5%. The value of Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia recorded $2.5 billion in 2022, compared to $2.2 billion in 2021, an increase of 11.2%. The value of Egyptian imports from Saudi Arabia amounted to $7.9 billion in 2022, compared to $6.9 billion in 2021, an increase of 14.3%.


The value of trade exchange between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in 2022

The most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to Saudi Arabia during 2022:

1. Copper and its articles, with a value of $245.9 million.

2. Fruits, worth $227.4 million.

3. Fuel, mineral oils and their distillation products, with a value of $215.5 million.

4. Iron and steel, worth $201.2 million.

5. Machinery, electrical appliances and parts thereof, with a value of $167.3 million.

The most important commodity groups that Egypt imported from Saudi Arabia during 2022:

1. Fuel, mineral oils and distillate products, worth $5 billion.

2. Plastics and their products, with a value of $1.8 billion.

3. Organic chemical products, worth $272 million.

4. Aluminum and its products, with a value of $174.9 million.

5. Paper and articles of paper pulp, with a value of $108.5 million.
