The initiative will develop and implement a battery of actions aimed at promoting community audiovisual production and will bear the name “Fernando Birri“, as announced by National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Incaa).
The program is already part of the Official Gazette and contains eight axes that will be developed with territorial anchorage and in coordination with the sector.
According to what was disseminated by the organization, the new proposal includes the promotion of the production, distribution, exhibition and enhancement of the community audiovisual expressions.
It also promotes the protection of the audiovisual heritage and the production of a periodic catalog with updated information on the sector.
Through meetings with organized sectors, research and reporting, those responsible for the program will be able to advise and recommend promotion measures for the different areas of Incaa and also facilitate coordination with already existing programs.
In turn, actions will be generated for the signing of legal agreements that promote and prioritize the community audiovisual sectors. in all areas related to the industry.
In addition to promoting commercial and non-commercial exhibition circuits for community film productions, also encouraging the inclusion of community productions in the curatorship of film cycles at a national and international level.
