INFO BFM MARSEILLE PROVENCE. North High School temporarily closed after break-in, classes suspended

A man, apparently unarmed, entered a Marseille high school on Thursday October 3 shortly before 9am. Classes are suspended for the day.

A man entered a high school in the northern areas of Marseille this Thursday, October 3, Saint-Exupéry high school, BFM Marseille Provence learned. He entered at 8:46 am and left almost ten minutes later, at about 8:54 am.

The rectory indicates that the man is not armed but this harassment prompted a student protection procedure, which was lifted shortly before 11am.

Classes suspended for the day

“A former student of Saint-Exupéry high school in Marseille joined the center. Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier, forward.

“The systems put in place in our regional high schools made it possible to protect and contain students, staff and teachers,” he said.

Renaud Muselier specifies that classes are suspended for the day at the school. “Five members of the regional high school guard are on site, in conjunction with the police,” he concludes.
