The Ministry of Health announced that it is advancing with the flu vaccination campaign and that it has stock in vaccination centers throughout the province for application to the main risk groups against the virus, that is: babies from 6 to 24 months of age , adults over 65 years of age and pregnant women in any trimester of pregnancy.

For free and mandatory inoculation, you must spontaneously go to the usual vaccination points, with your DNI and Vaccine card, where you can also complete the scheme against Covid-19 and/or receive any dose that is required from the National Calendar. , since there are no contraindications or minimum necessary intervals between them.

Likewise, the health teams plan house-to-house vaccination schedules to facilitate access to those who cannot go to the primary health care center, hospital or authorized fixed point.

In San Salvador de Jujuy, the vaccination centers arranged for the Covid vaccine such as Cepam, RIM 20, the “General Arias” bus terminal, the Ministerial Complex of Education, Courts and Police Central, as well as the VacuMóvil, also carry out the application of the anti-flu dose. .

The objective of influenza vaccination is to reduce complications, hospitalizations, deaths and sequelae caused by infection due to the influenza virus. This year, given the atypical outbreak since February, the aim is to provide coverage to 95% of people in priority groups before the start of winter, when there is greater viral circulation.

It should be noted that since Tuesday the flu vaccination “house to house” is carried out, which targets babies from 6 to 24 months.

Today the sectors of influence of the Caps de las 820 Viviendas (El Arenal, 245 Viviendas, Arenales, 820 Viviendas and 13 de Julio neighborhoods) will be toured, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; while from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. they will be vaccinated in the area of ​​influence of Caps La Viña (right bank of the Chijra River), Campo Verde (9 de Julio and Campo Verde neighborhoods); Los Perales (Telli settlement and Los Perales neighborhood); San Martín (River Grande bank settlement); Belgrano (La Isla sector) and El Chingo (Punta Diamante neighborhood), and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Caps Mariano Moreno area (Alto Gorriti and Bajo Gorriti neighborhoods).

Meanwhile, tomorrow, vaccination will continue in the areas of Caps Malvinas, La Viña, Campo Verde, Los Perales, San Martín, Belgrano, El Chingo and Coronel Arias.

It should be noted that the flu vaccine is also already sold in local pharmacies, at about $3,800.
