On Wednesday, September 9, in the clinics of the Kaliningrad region, vaccination of adults and children against influenza will start. This is reported by the regional Rospotrebnadzor. The department plans to vaccinate more than 500 thousand residents of the region.
“The flu shot is especially relevant this year: in the upcoming epidemic season, there is a risk of simultaneous circulation of respiratory viruses, influenza viruses and COVID-19. This increases the likelihood of a mixed infection (influenza + coronavirus infection) and, accordingly, the development of severe forms of the disease, complications and possible deaths, ”the Rospotrebnadzor notes.
In addition to the polyclinics at the place of residence, Kaliningraders have the opportunity to be vaccinated by one of the mobile teams that will work in a special graphics in different parts of the regional center until September 30.
