Genoa – It leaves tomorrow, Monday 5 October anti-flu campaign in Liguria. It starts with the risk categories that will be able to get vaccinated for free in clinics and doctors’ offices until 22 December 2020.

Liguria Region, in collaboration with Alisa and the Asl of the territory, has arranged, with the allocation of 2.5 million euros, the free offer of flu vaccination even in the age groups 60-64 years and 6 months-6 years (for which a recommendation is expected at national level) . As in the past, the vaccine remains free for people over 65 and for categories and individuals at risk of all ages.

Starting next week, citizens who fall into the categories for which free admission is provided (children, elderly and chronically ill) will be able to book and carry out vaccination: from your doctor or family pediatrician or, after booking at the Cup or in pharmacies, even in the dedicated ASL clinics.

Beyond 500 thousand doses already purchased by the Liguria Region which has already planned another 100,000 doses if needed. The “excess” doses will be transferred to the Pharmacies.

To facilitate access to vaccination, starting this year, in Liguria there is also the possibility of booking the flu vaccination through the regional toll-free number Cup Liguria 800 098 543 (from Monday to Friday from 8 to 18) as well as in local pharmacies or at Cup counters in health districts and hospitals, exclusively for users who fall within the age groups and categories for which free vaccination is provided and who has not made a reservation with your doctor.

Also blood donors will be made aware of the topic of influenza vaccination, which will be actively and free of charge: the invitation is to contact their association or the reference transfusion center for the delivery of the vaccine that will allow the protection of their health and can thus help reduce any blood deficiencies.

Vaccines are administered by:

1) General Practitioners and Free Choice Pediatricians at their own offices, in external premises made available by the ASL or at home in the case of patients who are bedridden or unable to walk. Each doctor will organize himself independently also for the possible referral of his patients to the district office where he will vaccinate.

2) Hygiene and Public Health Complex Structure of the ASL3 in specifically dedicated District clinics, open from 5 October to 22 December 2020 with access which, due to the COVID emergency, will take place exclusively by CUP appointment.

3) Community for the disabled and the elderly.

ASL 5 – Booking procedure

1) Through the company Call Center at 0187 – 533920 operating from 7 October 2020 from Monday to Friday (9.00 – 12.30 and 14.00 – 17.30) and Saturday (9 – 12.30)

2) Alternatively, users can contact their family doctor / pediatrician directly who will carry out the vaccinations at their doctor’s office or at other locations set up by ASL5 or other locations intended for this activity. The delivery of vaccinations will take place from 12 October to 20 December.
