Sassari A framework agreement with paediatricians of free choice to deal with the Autumn vaccination campaign. The Region is implementing a further piece in the general strategy to deal with the arrival of the flu, which will also be characterized this year by a high incidence of acute respiratory syndromes.
In recent weeks, a similar provision had already been approved regarding the agreement on regional guidelines for general practitioners, which makes available 200 thousand doses with priority for frail patients and those over 60. A front that now also involves the pediatricians called to integrate the activities of public hygiene departments. “It is well known that vaccination of children is a determining factor in reducing the spread of the virus and as a further barrier to protecting groups at risk”, explains the Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi. «The implementation of the Agreement will be supported by company funds under the supervision of Ares, the Regional Health Agency. Each pediatrician of free choice will have access to an average of 150 doses, varying according to the number of patients assisted and for a total total distributed not exceeding 15 thousand. Compensations between local health companies will also be possible if necessary, subject to agreement between them. By signing the Agreement, free-choice paediatricians undertake to implement all measures for the involvement of their patients in the vaccination campaign and to ensure the inclusion of vaccination data in their interoperable management systems in compliance with privacy regulations”.
