Information from the Department of Disease Control found that in week 35 (between 27 August – 2 September 2023), there were 101 cases of students reported to be sick with influenza in a school in Lamphun Province. From the collection of samples sent for testing of 5 cases, influenza type A was found in 4 cases (80 percent). Therefore, the Department of Disease Control was ordered to prepare to send a team to investigate the disease to cover every school in the community. Especially schools in areas where outbreaks have been reported higher than other areas. Including all hospitals being prepared to provide influenza vaccination services as well. By asking all public health personnel to regard this as an emergency situation that must be prepared 24 hours a day.
