Knokke-Heist –
Influencers point out the dress code this summer in Knokke-Heist with an original photo shoot. There people prefer not to see swimming trunks or bare torso in the shopping streets, and that is exactly the suggestion that some models give. “The photos help to remind people that it’s best to keep your swimsuit for the beach,” it sounds.

Previously, the dress code was playfully applied to the separation of the Zeedijk and the shopping streets, but creative agency Hurae is now taking it a step further with a fun photo shoot. A few influencers shot a remarkable series in which the illusion of nudity is created in the streets of Knokke-Heist. And that with a clear message: only wear your swimwear where it belongs.
“Some will blink when they see the photos,” says creative director Hannes Coudenys. “This is how we remind them that it’s best to keep your swimsuit for the beach. Leave naked to the imagination. Because admit it, men with speedo in the store or in an art gallery, that still remains a bit uncomfortable.”
daring
The shoot was created in collaboration with Nicolas Caeyers (actor), Chelsy De Witte (finalist Miss Belgium 2020) and well-known plus-size model Romy Schlimbach. The photos were taken at the yellow lifeguard station, the Rubensplein, the Kleurhuis in the Strandstraat, the Lichttorenplein and the Heilig Hartkerk.
“There is nothing wrong with a little bit of nakedness, but there is a place and a moment for everything,” says Noortje Palmers, the photographer of the series. “At the first scene we were extra excited by the effect and the humor. It’s great that Knokke-Heist has the guts to send these photos out into the world.”
