The news agency Suna reports that inflation reached 412.75 per cent in June, compared with 378.79 per cent in May.

The Sudanese government has introduced several reforms to strengthen the country’s economy, and to make Sudan eligible for debt relief. The reforms have the International Monetary Fund (IMF) behind them.

The recent increase in inflation is due to price increases as a result of the reforms, including for food.
