Infinix to Release Affordable Folding Screen Cellphone 'Zero Flip' Soon: Latest Tech Trends

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – It is alleged that the Chinese cellphone manufacturer, Infinix, will soon produce a folding screen cellphone. This strategy follows the trend in the market which is enthusiastic about folding screen cellphones.

Several Android cellphone manufacturers are known to have expanded their product portfolios for the folding screen segment. For example Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo.

Gizmochina’s report, Friday (5/4/2024) stated that Infinix’s first folding screen cellphone will use the name ‘Zero Flip’. The code number X6962, with the market name Zero Flip, has received certification, according to Android Headlines findings.

Gizmochina said that the Infinix folding screen cellphone will continue to maintain the Chinese manufacturer’s values, namely offering products at affordable prices.

Gadget lovers have been waiting for a folding screen cellphone at a more pocket-friendly price. Because, the majority of folding screen cellphones on the market currently target the premium segment with double-digit prices.

The signal that the Infinix folding screen cellphone will be coming soon was also revealed by the Country Marketing Manager of Infinix Indonesia, Sergio Ticoalu, some time ago.

“Our spirit at Infinix is to always provide the most innovative and up to date technology to consumers. We cannot deny that this foldable cellphone technology is like a ‘fomo’ in Indonesia. People want foldable cellphones because they present the latest technology. -update,” he said.

“What is certain is that this is probably the first time I will say that Infinix will probably release the same cellphone [lipat] this year,” he added.

The growth of foldable cellphones globally broke records in the third quarter of 2023. According to the DSCC report, the increase reached 215%.

Samsung still holds the largest market share through the Galazy Z Fold/Flip series at 72%. Then followed by Huawei at 9% and Honor 8%.

In the Indonesian market, Samsung and Oppo are the two dominant players in this segment. It seems that Infinix will increase the fierce competition in the folding screen cellphone market. Let’s just wait!
