The DBR on its official Facebook page reported suspicions of fictitious enrollment of Prykarpattya football players into military service.
“The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion to the commander of the security company of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional territorial center for recruitment and social support.
In August of this year, the SBI, together with the DSR of the National Police, exposed in Ivano-Frankivsk a scheme for fictitious enrollment into military service in the security units of the TCC and SP of relatives of the city leadership and football players of the local professional club.
As the investigation established, the commander enlisted 7 people, who were players and coaches of a local professional football team, for military service in the security company. All of them served only on “paper” and did not perform any military duties.
These persons “served” only 1,100 days, receiving monetary and material support from the state. The fictitious military personnel cost the budget almost 1.5 million UAH – this is the amount of funds paid to them without justification,” the report says.
