Infernal leaks hit 10 regions of Indonesia, boiling temperature near 40 degrees

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Several regions in Indonesia reported very hot temperatures reaching almost 40 degrees Celsius on Monday (28/10/2024).

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Group (BMKG) has warned that several areas are affected by hot temperatures that could ‘roll’ Indonesia. According to BMKG, temperatures in several areas can reach 37 to 38.4 degrees Celsius.

Based on an analysis by a team of BMKG meteorologists last Monday afternoon, the highest hot temperature was recorded in the district of <a href="http://www.world-today-news.com/seven-army-personnel-in-east-flores-are-positive-covid-19/" title="Seven Army Personnel in East Flores Are Positive Covid-19″>Larantuka, East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, reaching 38.4 degrees Celsius.

BMKG Special Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Team Leader, Miming, said that the highest hot temperature of more than 37-37.8 degrees Celsius was found in the region of Majalengka in West Java, Semarang in Central Java and Bima in West Nusa Tenggara that had been going for a long time.

According to BMKG, this situation is still associated with little cloud cover and the apparent movement of the sun above the equator. However, based on the opinion of the institution, this situation is still in the normal sector that does not affect seasonal changes in Indonesia.

BMKG said parts south of the equator, including the islands of Java to Nusa Tenggara, have continued to experience ‘boiling’ hot weather during the day recently.

“Several regions in southern Indonesia, especially Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, have recently experienced hot weather during the day followed by rain in the afternoon to evening,” BMKG wrote in a statement from some time ago.

BMKG explained that this situation is one of the characteristics of the transition period of the season, which is the rain pattern that usually occurs in the afternoon to the end of the evening, with hot and scorching air in the morning to the evening before.

To reduce the effects of hot temperatures, BMKG urges the public to consume plenty of drinking water regularly to avoid dehydration, especially when doing outdoor activities.

Then, use protection such as a hat or umbrella to protect the head and upper body, sunglasses to protect the eyes, if necessary use sunscreen to protect the skin from exposure to Ultra Violet (UV) rays ).

BMKG also warned the public not to burn anything recklessly on vacant land in forest areas and garbage dumps. On the other hand, it is expected that local governments will be able to irrigate the soil to reduce the potential for fires to be caused by the hot sun in forest areas, land and waste.

Based on an analysis by a team of BMKG meteorologists last Monday, the highest hot temperature was recorded in the area of Larantuka, East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, reaching 38.4 degrees Celsius. The following areas were reported to have experienced extreme heat last Monday.
