Infectious Disease Dumpis: I don't want to be scared, but there may be other dangerous viruses

Rebellion is convinced that by digging in the jungle and sawing them, people themselves are to blame for getting sick and transmitting these viruses, such as Ebola. Animals are no longer the ones who catch people, but quite the opposite.

“We are now much better at diagnosing various unknown viruses, we were not able to do that before. All these events – viruses and various diseases – are happening in the last two years, because we are taking over the territories of living creatures “, the infectologist is convinced.

“This transition from animals is happening all the time, but now it is more active, because there are a lot of people and they are all together,” concludes Dumpis.

According to him, this type of disease comes from where there is overcrowding. Also Covid – 19 coming directly from such a place. China is a created place for the spread of viruses, because it is densely populated, but in Latvia such a spread of viruses is unlikely to happen, because we are few in number, Dumpis believes.

“Some of these viruses come directly from China. There are seven known human coronaviruses that can infect humans, five of which have appeared in this century and three of which come directly from China. In the past, people also lived in the jungle, but they were not in such close contact with each other, they did not fly by plane, for example, from Malaysia to America. Nowadays, the virus travels by airplanes, ”added Kaspars Tārs, a leading researcher at the Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Center and Professor at the University of Latvia.
