Galicia registered 870 new cases of COVID yesterday, 103 more than on Friday, and those admitted to the ICU due to the virus also increased: there are 23, three more than the previous day. To find a higher figure, you have to go back more than a month ago, on May 3, when 26 patients were registered in critical care units. On the other hand, those admitted to the plant decreased by 36 to 398. Three more deaths were reported, bringing the total to 3,517.
Active cases register a slight decrease again and are estimated at 8,993 people, 10 people less than those recorded on Friday. The number of active infections decreases in four of the seven health areas: in A Coruña-Cee there are 1,869 (50 less); in Ferrol, 505 (24 less); in Lugo, 939 (12 less); and in Ourense, 1,275 (3 less). However, it increases in Vigo, where 1,843 (+19) are registered; in Pontevedra, 977 (+7); and in Santiago-Barbanza, 1,576 (+54).
